Tomorrow is Halloween and there will be a lot of people partying. A party wouldn’t be as fun without a cake.
Here is a Plants vs Zombies Cake ordered from us for their Halloween Party.

Last week I managed to make 4 cakes (Wario, Princess Peach, Daisy Cake, and this Backyardigans Cake).
This is my current “career high” or in running terms my “PR” or personal record. Saying it was challenging would be a great understatement. But I enjoy what I do, so it made the challenge easier. I love to bake and decorate cakes and my heart flutters when I finish the cake and like how it looks. What I love more than making the cakes is knowing that the kids that I make these cakes for are happy with their cakes.
Here is the picture of the Backyardigans Themed Cake
Norie's Kitchen - Backyardigans Cake
This is an all edible cake. The characters were made of gumpaste and the cake was covered with fondant. I added grass details on the side to reflect the backyard where the “Backyardigans” play and enter into their pretend world.

Norie's Kitchen - Super Mario Bros - Princess Peach Cake
Norie's Kitchen - Super Mario Bros - Wario Cake
Here are the two cakes I made last week. They were ordered by my husband’s elementary/high school/college friend. We delivered last Saturday it to Two-Serendra in Global City Taguig for their daughter’s 7th birthday and and their son’s 3rd birthday. I made both of these cakes for 4 days of sleeping late and waking up very early. But when I see how my cakes look all the exhaustion transforms into excitement. I am really excited in the reaction of the kids and parents when they see they’re cake.
Until this morning, I was waiting for the comments on the cake and was really glad to see this:
Norie’s Kitchen Rocks! Thanks a million!
The kids chose a Super Mario Bros Themed Party. Both of them love the characters of the game and have a collection of toys. Two of those are featured on the cake, Princess Peach and Wario.
The rest of the cake are covered in fondant with gumpaste accessories including the walking bomb, mushrooms, and scenes from the Mario Game.

Cake, Chocolate, custom cakes, Fondant, Norie's Kitchen, Princess Peach, Super Mario Bros, Wario
I am currently working on a Super Mario Brothers Theme Cake. Well not the typical Mario and Luigi cake. I am creating a Wario Cake and a Princess Peach Cake. The Princess Peach Cake will have a castle cake topper with crown shaped cake separator. (The crown shape is almost done….Whew)..Next thing that I will be making is the castle…After that the rest of the cake would be for the lack of a better term “a piece of cake”…ha ha ha….
For the Wario cake, I will be making green pipes to separate the cake layers. Each layers will have screenshot of a Mario Game at the sides…
The cake will be ready before October 16..I’ll post pictures here and on Facebook….
Thanks to all who have liked our facebook page and those who have expressed interest in our cakes…

Norie's Kitchen - Plants vs Zombies Cake
Here is a Birthday Cake with the Plants vs Zombies Theme. This order was a little short notice and I had to rush to make it in two days. I had to sleep late and wake up early just to make the deadline. But I had fun making this cake and I’m glad Eric (the birthday boy) and his mom liked it too. Here is the text message they sent me when the birthday boy saw his cake:
” You just made a 7 year old boy and his mom very happy!”
Now, that’s the icing on my cake =) —> Pun intended
